Kershaw AM-4 Al Mar Design
Kershaw AM-4 folding knife, a collaboration between Kershaw and famed historical knifemaker Al Mar. If you are not already familiar with Al, you should read about this man and his unique story and accomplishments. This cool knife is based on one of Mr. Mar's designs and is a great pocket knife for everyday carry. Even the pocket clip has Al Mar's correct, red trademark logo, as found on his higher-dollar fixed blades and folders.
The blade on this knife has a long slender spearlike shape in a mild drop point. The Speedsafe assisted opening is great and allows ease of use in demanding situations when one-handed quick opening is helpful.
A frame-lock flipper with jimping on the flipper tab, and two thumb studs. This knife has a black coated blade and a black frame with an olive-green micarta scale on the show side. Ruby red anodised stand offs are in place instead of a backspacer. All other hardware is black. The knife weighs in at 3.00 ounces on our scale and the blade measures at about 3-3/8". This knife is made in China for Kershaw knives. This is the only one of this model left in our inventory.
